La Bella Dormente Nel Bosco

Influences of a traditional fairytale aesthetic with a 1920s Art Deco twist. Emphasis on bold silhouettes and fantastical aura.

Puppet Design

Woodland animals made with witheys & twisted branches with firefly lights to add essence of magic and appear part of the enchanted forest. Props including individual hand held wicker orbs for the choir of stars and a magical storybook to reference the original fairy tale by Charles Perrault.

Gianni Schicchi

Set in 1299 Florentine home, this set had more organic aesthetic with wooden scenic elements. With an assortment of furniture & set dressing the aim was to create an interactive space that felt lived in. This layout would become more chaotic as the story developed.
